About the role
Role Overview
Join Mission Lane's Acquisitions Team as a Product Manager for Acquisitions Decisioning. You will own the decision engine that assesses risk, verifies identity, and determines credit lines for customer applications in real-time.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product roadmap for the post-application decisioning engine, translating strategic goals into technical requirements and user stories
- Partner with Data, Credit, and Engineering teams to operationalize complex underwriting models and ensure business logic is correctly implemented
- Optimize third-party data integrations to balance approval accuracy with unit economics and data costs
- Collaborate with Fraud Operations to implement real-time defenses against synthetic fraud and identity theft
- Monitor decisioning platform health for high availability, low latency, and accurate error handling
- Drive alignment across Credit, Fraud, and Engineering teams as the subject matter expert
- Prioritize data-driven decisions balancing risk management with seamless user experience
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of product management experience focused on backend decisioning systems
- Technical proficiency with ability to discuss system architecture, APIs, and implementation trade-offs with engineers
- SQL proficiency to query data, investigate decision logs, and analyze funnel performance
- Proven track record managing complex projects with cross-team dependencies
- Experience designing and running A/B tests
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fintech, lending, or financial services
- Background managing platform products with heavy data exchange and API integrations
- Operational experience with fraud prevention or management
- Familiarity with credit bureau data or identity verification services
