About the role
Role Overview
Product Designer contractor role reporting to the UX Lead at Orium, working with clients in LATAM, the US, or Canada to create world-class digital experiences for enterprise brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to design and optimize sites, components, and interfaces aligned with brand guidelines
- Maintain and iterate design systems, ensuring continuous improvement of components in collaboration with developers and designers
- Perform Design Quality Assurance (DQA) for visual and interaction design, ensuring polished implementation
- Resolve design-related tickets and issues with timely, high-quality solutions
- Create wireframes using research insights, requirements, and sketches to solve user needs across different personas
- Develop interaction models and experience architectures using conceptual sketches, diagrams, and maps
- Conduct heuristic evaluations and usability testing, implementing best practices
- Facilitate design reviews (internal and external), collect feedback, and drive approvals
- Support Product Strategy team in defining experience and product requirements
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of hands-on UX design experience with websites and design systems
- College/university degree in a related field (preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating real-life project experiences (non-hypothetical), strong visual/UI design skills, and responsive design work
- Proficiency in Figma, Miro, and collaborative design/prototyping tools
- Strong communication skills; comfortable sharing ideas, giving and receiving feedback
- Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
- Experience with modern digital tools and openness to AI-powered solutions
Nice-to-Haves
- Solid understanding of UX principles (information architecture, flow diagrams, usability)
- Agency experience and e-commerce project exposure
- Conceptual understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of accessibility principles and guidelines
