Product Designer (6 Month Contract - Remote, US)

Role Overview

Contract Product Designer supporting critical growth initiatives across Renew Home's product ecosystem. This 6-month remote role is ideal for designers who thrive in fast-moving environments, balancing strategic thinking with high-quality execution on consumer-facing experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality product experiences from concept through production under guidance of Staff Product Designer
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to translate requirements into user-centered solutions aligned with business goals
• Own scoped initiatives with autonomy while incorporating feedback from design leadership
• Create comprehensive design deliverables: user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and production-ready specs
• Design and iterate on consumer-facing lifecycle email campaigns, balancing visual storytelling with usability and performance
• Apply visual craft across product UI and email work ensuring cohesive user experience
• Advocate for users across the full journey from acquisition through conversion and retention
• Contribute to design critiques and maintain quality standards
• Leverage AI-powered tools to explore concepts and increase efficiency

Requirements

• 5+ years of Product Design, UX Design, or similar experience with portfolio demonstrating product thinking and strong visual execution
• Proven ability to design intuitive, user-centered solutions balancing user needs with business objectives
• Experience with growth-oriented initiatives (acquisition, conversion, engagement flows)
• Strong visual design skills for both marketing-level creative and scalable product UI
• Experience designing responsive layouts across multiple surfaces (web, mobile, email)
• Expert-level Figma fluency for design, prototyping, and handoff
• Strong collaboration skills with Product and Engineering in fast-paced environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while iterating quickly
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and rationale
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in design workflow

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience designing lifecycle or growth marketing emails with understanding of performance metrics
• Familiarity with email design constraints and best practices
