Role Overview
National Territory Manager responsible for leading growth initiatives in the convenience store market with a primary focus on expanding distribution through McLane and other key channel partners. This high-impact sales role involves developing go-to-market strategies, securing new accounts, and driving year-over-year revenue growth across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute national sales strategy focused on growing market share in convenience stores, particularly through McLane and related distribution networks
- Identify and secure new distribution opportunities, retail partnerships, and key account relationships across the U.S.
- Drive consistent year-over-year revenue growth through new business development and account expansion
- Build and strengthen relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and direct retail accounts to increase product placement and sales volume
- Create and implement strategic plans around pricing, promotions, merchandising, and product placement
- Evaluate market trends, competitive activity, and consumer behavior to uncover growth opportunities
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts and provide regular updates on pipeline activity and account performance
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams to support launches
- Contribute to building sales infrastructure and potentially mentor broader sales team as organization scales
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive sales experience in CPG, tobacco, convenience retail, or similar channel-driven industry
- Proven success expanding into new markets and generating measurable year-over-year sales growth
- Strong experience developing and managing distributor relationships, ideally including McLane or similar national convenience distributors
- Demonstrated ability to win new business, negotiate partnerships, and grow strategic accounts
- Strong understanding of convenience store landscape, distribution models, retail merchandising, and go-to-market execution
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and strong results orientation
- Comfortable working independently in field-based or remote capacity
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
