Role Overview

Join CSPLab as a fullstack Python developer to build tools serving public sector employers. You'll participate in development, ensure regulatory compliance and security, and contribute to architecture decisions and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop tools and applications serving public sector employers while considering regulatory constraints
• Participate in code reviews, monitor production applications, and make architectural decisions
• Contribute constructively to team dynamics by integrating development best practices
• Build reactive interfaces with Django, DRF, and HTMX
• Work with PostgreSQL databases and DevOps practices on PaaS platforms

Required Skills

• Significant professional experience with Python development including object typing
• Strong experience with Vue.js and reactive interfaces
• Django development expertise, particularly with high-stakes applications (traffic, security, personal data)
• Experience with Django REST Framework (DRF) and HTMX
• PostgreSQL database knowledge
• DevOps experience with PaaS platforms (e.g., Scalingo)
• Significant team experience (6+ developers) and/or large project work
• Appreciation for proven best practices and established tools
• Ability to defend technical viewpoints while integrating stakeholder feedback
• Pragmatic approach ("simple is better")

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Open-source project experience
• Prior experience with Beta Gouv or French public administration
• Web accessibility (a11y) implementation experience
• Knowledge of public data concerns (GDPR, interoperability, open data)
• Familiarity with DSFR (French Design System for Government)
