About the role

Role Overview

We are seeking a Middle DevOps Engineer for a long-term collaboration with a Ukrainian IT outsourcing company. You will support infrastructure, handle DevOps tasks, and automate processes in cloud and on-premises environments. You'll work with modern technology stacks in a strong technical team that includes both junior and senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Automate configuration and deployment for AWS/Azure/GCP or on-premises infrastructures
Support infrastructure configuration and troubleshooting
Set up and maintain CI/CD processes
Work with monitoring and logging systems
Implement information security and disaster recovery measures
Deploy updates and patches
Ensure compliance with internal security standards

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience administering Linux/UNIX and Windows
At least 2 years as a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineer
Strong understanding of web technologies
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
Experience with configuration management tools: Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack, or Chef
Cloud environment experience with AWS or Azure (manual and via Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM)
CI/CD tools experience: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, etc.
Docker and Kubernetes experience
Database administration: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL
Scripting: Bash, Python, or PowerShell
Git and Git workflows proficiency
Understanding of system security principles
English level: B1-B2 (conversational)

Nice-to-Have Skills

Advanced Linux/Windows knowledge
Strong Python experience
Artifactory or artifact manager experience
Maven, MSBuild, or webpack knowledge
Security tools: SonarQube, Anchore
Microservices release experience
Quick troubleshooting across diverse environments

Work Arrangement

Remote or office in Kharkiv/Poltava
Schedule: 10:00–19:00 (Kyiv time)
Salary: $1,300–$2,700 USD gross per month
Employment: Contractor (FOP)
