About the role

Role Overview

Mid-Level UX/UI Developer position as a remote contractor with a large financial services organization. The first week requires onsite attendance in San Antonio, TX. You will design and deliver intuitive user experiences for the modernization of operations and brokerage tools, translating complex financial workflows into clean, user-centered interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement UI/UX solutions for modernization of internal operations and brokerage platforms
Translate complex financial and operational workflows (DVP/RVP, cost basis, reconciliations) into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces
Partner with product managers, operations stakeholders, and engineers to gather requirements, validate assumptions, and iterate on designs
Conduct usability testing, analyze feedback, and refine wireframes, prototypes, and UI implementations
Build and maintain reusable UI components using modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue.js)
Develop interactive dashboards and responsive user experiences for trade analysts and operations associates
Ensure designs meet accessibility (WCAG), performance, and cross-browser compatibility standards

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
6-9 years of experience in UI/UX design and front-end development, preferably in enterprise or regulated environments
Strong proficiency with Angular, React, or Vue.js
Ability to translate complex business workflows into clear, effective user experiences
Solid understanding of accessibility best practices (WCAG), performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility
Experience conducting usability testing and incorporating user feedback
Strong collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Have

Experience in financial services, brokerage, or capital markets
Familiarity with enterprise design systems and component-based UI architecture
Background designing tools for internal, high-volume operational users
