Mechanical Engineering Manager

Overview

Lead a dynamic engineering team at ENERCON Federal Services Group, driving project success while achieving business goals. This remote-eligible position requires strong technical expertise combined with leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Motivation: Lead teams with a positive attitude to achieve project goals aligned with ENERCON's excellence standards
• Collaboration & Coordination: Interface with clients to ensure quality and deadlines on design projects
• Communication: Lead various internal engineering disciplines and delegate project roles effectively
• Design & Estimating: Prepare design studies, scopes, and engineering estimates
• Procurement & Specifications: Develop mechanical system procurement specifications, evaluate bids, and select equipment
• Technical Expertise: Perform mechanical, HVAC, hydraulic, and piping system calculations; solve complex technical problems
• Field Engagement: Travel for walkdowns, field installations, and equipment start-up activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university (or equivalent work and training)
• Minimum 6 years of design engineering experience in power generation, nuclear, federal, or industrial industries
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Word and Excel
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
