About the role

Role Overview

Lead Frontend Software Engineer for a greenfield, high-impact product opportunity in automotive commerce. You'll architect and develop dealer-facing solutions that help dealerships sell more cars and manage their business through self-service capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and lead development of high-performance Next.js/React interfaces for a newly launched Hub website
Establish foundational patterns for authenticated user experiences including data insights, automated onboarding, product configuration, and user management
Design and implement complex role-based access control (RBAC) systems
Champion performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, caching, async assets)
Prioritize usability, accessibility, and platform-minded frontend development
Build resilient systems with strong testing, observability, and CI/CD practices
Leverage AI-first development approaches using Claude Code to maximize velocity

Requirements

Proven experience as a Lead/Senior Frontend Engineer
Mastery of Next.js and React
Expertise in building high-performance, scalable frontend systems
Strong understanding of performance optimization and Core Web Vitals
Experience with testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines
Ability to architect solutions from v1 to v10 phase of products
Proficiency with AI-native development tools (Claude Code)
Strong focus on accessibility and usability

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with authenticated applications and RBAC systems
Background in automotive or B2B SaaS
Experience building greenfield products
