Lead DevOps Engineer - AWS

Role Overview

Lead DevOps Engineer responsible for supporting the R&D department and SaaS product deployment/maintenance. You will lead a small team, focusing on Developer Experience systems, workflow automation, and accelerating delivery cycles while fostering a culture of cloud excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain DevOps solutions and cloud infrastructure
• Review current environment and improve build systems for automated building and publishing
• Lead a small team with focus on mentoring and coaching for career development
• Implement strong CI/CD processes for fully automated release processes
• Enhance collaboration and automate workflows across development teams
• Champion DevOps best practices and drive a culture of automation and efficiency
• Take ownership of DevOps within development teams

Requirements

• Degree in software engineering or related discipline
• Several years of experience in a similar lead DevOps role
• AWS Certification (one or more disciplines, preferably DevOps or Cloud Architecture)
• Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools: CircleCI, Jenkins, Travis CI, GitHub Actions, or similar
• Proven experience managing direct reports
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach team members for career development
