Lead DevOps Engineer (100% Remote)

About the Role

Join Tether as a Lead DevOps Engineer to lead and guide a team of DevOps specialists while architecting and maintaining critical infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of DevOps specialists, promoting best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing
  • CI/CD Architecture: Design, implement, and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for rapid and reliable software delivery
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee server system administration, including configuration, monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting
  • Monitoring & Observability: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively detect issues and maintain system health
  • Test-Driven Deployment: Design and enforce test-driven deployment systems with automated testing at every stage to maintain code quality
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Dev, QA, and Management teams to enhance deployment quality, observability, and stability
  • Industry Leadership: Stay current on industry trends and best practices; evaluate and integrate new DevOps tools and processes

Required Experience

  • 7+ years in DevOps/Infrastructure roles, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or technical lead capacity
  • Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker image creation, registry management, and orchestration patterns)
  • Hands-on experience managing JavaScript packages and publishing workflows to NPM with understanding of semantic versioning
  • Deep expertise in Linux system administration and networking
  • Experience automating mobile app build processes
  • Strong English communication skills
