Lead AI Engineer

Role Overview

Lead AI Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and evolving Haiku's AI agents. You'll work on cutting-edge AI problems and play a key role in defining and executing Haiku's AI vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evolve advanced multi-agent architectures
• Own and drive the technical AI vision, actively contributing to the product roadmap
• Identify and prioritize high-impact product opportunities
• Lead complex, end-to-end projects with strong autonomy and ownership

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years as an AI Engineer, ML Engineer, or Applied Scientist
• Bachelor's degree (engineering school or specialized master's) or PhD (Bac+5 minimum)
• Significant experience with AI systems in production, ideally complex or high-traffic systems
• Track record leading applied R&D projects on real products
• Strong capability to independently own and drive technical initiatives

Required Skills

• State-of-the-art expertise in LLMs, RAG, and AI agents (mandatory)
• Excellent ability to manage complex, end-to-end technical projects
• Strong Python proficiency (code quality, performance, testing)
• Comfortable with cloud environments
• Proven management and mentoring capabilities
• Ability to step back, structure problems, and make sound technical decisions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Other Requirements

• Based in France (bi-annual trips to Paris)
• Fluent English
