Junior Full Stack Java Developer

Role Overview

Full-time remote Junior Full Stack Java Developer position located anywhere in the U.S. You'll develop, debug, test, and document solutions to satisfy complex business requirements while working within a Scrum team using Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver solutions using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, SQL, and cloud-based technologies
• Participate in Scrum team activities including sprint planning, standup calls, and retrospectives
• Design and implement features using test-driven development and scaled agile methods
• Build microservices using Spring Boot or similar technologies
• Write technical specifications and test plans; conduct unit, load, performance, and integration testing
• Assist with third-level support of applications in Production

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge of Java, J2EE, REST, and SQL
• Familiarity with building microservices using Spring Boot or equivalent
• Strong advocate of process-driven software development lifecycle
• Experience with test-driven development and scaled agile methods
• Familiarity with agile environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Exposure to React, Redux, AngularJS, and .NET
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps processes
• Professional software development concepts
