Java Developer

Role Overview

As a Java Developer, you'll play an integral role in building the company's technology strategy roadmap, developing server-side and web services for enterprise-class applications on the J2EE platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-class applications on the J2EE application development platform
• Participate in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Implement applications utilizing J2EE Application Servers, Authentication and Authorization, and Caching strategies
• Implement REST services supporting client-facing applications
• Implement REST services security using JWT, OAuth, and related technologies
• Develop self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
• Develop, optimize, and maintain enterprise-level web services with complete ownership of the services stack

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Java developer
• Hands-on programming experience with Java, J2EE, REST/SOAP, HTML5, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, Webix JS, Spring, JSON, XML, JWT, OAuth, Postman, ReadyAPI, and/or similar technologies
• 1 year of federal government or state level experience
• 1 year of experience in Health and Human Services programs (SNAP and TANF)
• 1 year of experience in Eligibility and Enrollment

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Agile Development Methodologies (preferably Scrum)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD methodologies and containerized application deployments
• Hands-on experience with web applications developed for Cloud platforms
• Experience in HHS business domain like SNAP and TANF
