Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

Join a lean, high-performing engineering team (fewer than 10 engineers) to build core experimentation and personalization capabilities for an e-commerce profit optimization platform. You'll work across the full stack, contributing to feature development, integrations, and user experience improvements from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop features across frontend, backend, and analytics systems
• Own product and feature development from ideation to delivery
• Design and implement new integrations
• Rework complicated user flows and improve user experience
• Collaborate closely with product, design, sales, support, and success teams
• Work directly and indirectly with thousands of customers to understand their needs
• Make countless micro design decisions with customer empathy in mind
• Handle increasingly complex and ambiguous problems over time

Requirements

• Experience owning product and feature development end-to-end
• Ability to maintain context across a complex, multi-layered system
• Strong learning mindset with exploration and experimentation as core practices
• Deep expertise in at least one area of the stack
• Curiosity to learn and try different approaches
• Customer empathy and desire to make merchants successful
• Collaborative team player who can also work independently
• Excited to shape the future of e-commerce

• TypeScript monorepo
• Frontend: React, Redux, Material UI, ReactQuery, AWS S3/CloudFront
• Backend: Serverless Node.js on AWS Lambda (managed by SST), MySQL
• Infrastructure: AWS Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, dockerized Lambdas
• Analytics: AWS EventBridge, Kinesis, Flink, Kafka, ClickHouse
• Client-side: Compiled TypeScript JavaScript plugins
