Full-Stack Developer (Junior)

Role Overview

You'll build the majority of the user-facing web application as a junior full-stack developer, working directly with the senior developer and CTO in a fast-moving environment. Your code ships to real users quickly, with clear specifications and hands-on mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Build the full user-facing web application: dashboards, reports, settings, onboarding
• Develop admin views for user management, configuration, and aggregate data
• Implement supporting systems: notifications, emails, exports
• Write tests against defined error scenarios
• Contribute to database schema design alongside senior developer and CTO
• Daily sync with senior developer; PR review on every merge

Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional development experience (internships and freelance count)
• React (or Next.js) for frontend, Python for backend
• Basic PostgreSQL: can write queries, understand joins, contribute to schema design
• Active AI coding tool user (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as part of daily workflow
• Can read a spec and ship features independently
• Comfortable with changing priorities
• Asks questions when unclear rather than guessing
• Solid written and spoken English

Nice-to-Haves

• FastAPI experience
• Tailwind CSS and responsive design
• Authentication flows (OAuth, JWT)
• Dashboard or report-style interface experience
• Portfolio or GitHub showing end-to-end projects
