About the role
Role Overview
Media Cause is hiring a front-end developer on a freelance basis (~5–10 hrs/week), with the goal of growing this into a full-time role. Your work will support nonprofit clients, directly contributing to meaningful missions.
Responsibilities
- Customize and build WordPress themes using PHP, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript
- Over time, gain experience working on marketing technology (MarTech) projects
- Integrate with APIs and tools like HubSpot
Requirements
- Good understanding of HTML & CSS
- Experience with or interest in learning Sass
- Basic knowledge of PHP, especially in WordPress
- Familiarity with JavaScript fundamentals
- Some experience using Git
- Prior hands-on WordPress work (personal or practice projects acceptable)
- Basic understanding of Advanced Custom Fields (WordPress plugin)
Nice-to-Haves
- Interest in learning how APIs and MarTech stacks work
- Strong desire to grow and learn
