About the role

Role Overview

Media Cause is hiring a front-end developer on a freelance basis (~5–10 hrs/week), with the goal of growing this into a full-time role. Your work will directly support nonprofit clients, making a meaningful impact.

Primary Responsibilities

Customize and build WordPress themes using PHP, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript
Over time, gain experience working on marketing technology (MarTech) projects
Integrate with APIs and tools like HubSpot

Required Skills

Good understanding of HTML & CSS
JavaScript fundamentals
PHP knowledge, especially in WordPress
Experience using Git
Prior hands-on WordPress work (personal or practice projects acceptable)
Basic understanding of Advanced Custom Fields (WordPress plugin)

Nice-to-Have

Experience with or interest in learning Sass
Interest in learning how APIs and MarTech stacks work
Strong desire to grow and develop professionally
