(Freelance) Senior DevSecOps & Platform Engineer

Role Overview

Senior DevSecOps & Platform Engineer responsible for ensuring security, reliability, and scalability of the platform. This role combines software development with infrastructure strengthening, automation, and security practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure with integrated security practices throughout the development lifecycle
• Develop and maintain backend features primarily using PHP and Symfony, writing clean, maintainable, and secure code
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
• Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver new product features and improve the platform
• Contribute to the evolution of infrastructure and developer platform to support modern engineering practices
• Implement security practices in cloud and application environments
• Manage monitoring and observability across systems

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, infrastructure engineering, and software development
• Strong experience with PHP and cloud environments (preferably Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
• Solid understanding of modern infrastructure standards and tools
• Experience implementing security practices in cloud and application environments
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE)
• Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

• Experience with high-traffic platforms, marketplaces, or e-commerce environments
• Interest in modern developer platforms and AI-assisted engineering workflows
