(Freelance) Senior Backend Developer PHP - Symfony (CDI) - Full remote

Role Overview

Join as a Senior Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend components of the platform using PHP and Symfony 7. This is a full remote position where you'll play a crucial role in platform optimization and feature implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend components using PHP and Symfony 7
• Implement robust strategies for handling asynchronous tasks
• Ensure seamless integration between different parts of the application
• Collaborate with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration
• Actively participate in the design and implementation of new features
• Assess technical feasibility of new features and proposed improvements with the development team
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability of the platform's backend

Required Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in PHP backend development
• Experience within e-commerce or marketplace environments
• Proficiency in PHP and Symfony framework
• Knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Fluent English (written and spoken) - French not required

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with DevOps and automation (CI/CD)
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, specifically Vue.js
• Experience with Payment Service Providers (PSP) in e-commerce environments
• Experience with web security tools (OWASP, CSRF, etc.)
