About the role

Role Overview

Join Colby Co. Engineering as a Fire Protection Engineer. This hybrid/remote position is ideal for candidates located in New England or the Greater New York area, with potential for fully remote work for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Provide life safety code consulting services
Design and implement performance-based fire protection systems
Coordinate fire protection systems with other building systems
Utilize modeling software for system design and analysis
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams on projects ranging from new construction to historical renovations

Requirements

Experience with Life Safety Code Consulting
Strong knowledge of Performance Based Design
Fire Protection System Design expertise
Strong understanding of building systems and their integration
Successful completion of the FE exam
PE License (preferred)

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with AutoSprink, HydraCAD, or similar modeling software
Sustainable design experience
AutoCAD and/or Revit proficiency
