Experienced DevSecOps Engineer - (100% Remote)

Role Overview

Experienced DevSecOps Engineer with a focus on integrating security practices within the DevOps process and ensuring security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. This is a critical role requiring strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines
• Integrate security tools and practices into development and deployment workflows (SAST, DAST, container scanning)
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure secure software delivery
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and respond to incidents
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing systems
• Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with minimum 7 years of DevOps/Security Engineering experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, or related roles
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash)
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Desired Skills & Experience

• Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Cloud Native Security Expert (CCNSE), or equivalent
• Experience with secrets management tools (Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
• Familiarity with zero-trust architecture and secure software supply chain practices
