Role Overview
Lead a chapter of approximately 15 engineers as an Engineering Manager in a fast-paced scale-up environment. You will drive people leadership, technical stewardship, and organizational scaling across Backend, Frontend, or SRE disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Nurture talent through high-impact 1:1s and support engineer development and career progression
- Technical Stewardship: Lead the chapter in setting and maintaining coding standards and architectural best practices
- Hiring & Talent Acquisition: Own the hiring pipeline—source, interview, and attract top-tier talent to your discipline
- Organizational Scaling: Build processes that empower rather than stifle team growth
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience with previous management experience
- "People-First" mindset—find satisfaction in team member growth and promotion
- Experience working in fast-paced, scale-up environments
- Technical expertise in your field (Backend, Frontend, SRE, or Product) to coach senior engineers
- Strong influence and leadership skills without direct authority
