About the role

Role Overview

Director of Engineering (AI-Native) leading multiple engineering teams across distributed locations (US, Canada, LATAM). This is a hands-on technical leadership role blending strategic vision with direct involvement in architecture and code reviews, overseeing systems that power millions in annual revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Lead multiple engineering squads and distributed teams (15+ engineers) across remote locations
Oversee AI-powered sales automation systems including LLM-based outbound agents and self-service tools
Drive development of marketing, lead generation, ecommerce, and onboarding systems to optimize conversion and reduce acquisition costs
Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales Operations, and executive leadership to align technical solutions with strategic goals
Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance during peak traffic
Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownership
Modernize platforms while balancing immediate business needs with long-term technical strategy

Requirements

8+ years software engineering experience with 4+ years leading engineering teams
Experience managing multiple squads or organizations of 15+ engineers across remote/distributed teams
Hands-on expertise in agentic/LLM coding and AI-native tools (Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Make.com, n8n, Firecrawl, Supabase, Bolt, Netlify, Vercel)
Proven track record shipping B2C or SaaS products at scale with deep web applications, APIs, and distributed systems experience
Experience with sales tools, CRM, or marketing technology (preferred)
Cloud infrastructure expertise (AWS, Kubernetes), event-driven architecture, and high-traffic consumer platforms
Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership capabilities
