DevOps - Freelance

Role Overview

As a freelance DevOps expert, you will be responsible for optimizing and securing Contexte's AWS infrastructure, conducting audits, and implementing structural improvements. You'll work closely with Tech Leads and the CPTO, handling solution implementation, knowledge transfer, technical documentation, automation, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize caching strategy via CDN (CloudFront) to reduce latency and server load
• Configure and deploy WAF (Web Application Firewall) to protect against common vulnerabilities and malicious requests
• Write concrete recommendations on performance, security, and resilience axes following infrastructure analysis
• Implement solutions and transfer knowledge to the internal team
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure infrastructure automation

Required Skills

• AWS Expertise: Advanced mastery of AWS services (CloudFront, WAF, S3, EC2/ECS)
• Infrastructure as Code: Expert-level Terraform skills (complex state management, modules, drift resolution)
• CI/CD Culture: Significant experience implementing dynamic staging environments
• IaC Deployment Tools: Essential mastery of Terraform Cloud and/or Spacelift for infrastructure pipeline and state management
• Soft Skills:
  • Pedagogy and communication: Ability to explain complex concepts and present to teams
  • Autonomy: Capacity to manage end-to-end projects with minimal supervision
  • Rigor: Particular attention to security and infrastructure code quality

Engagement Details

• Schedule: Part-time (minimum 2 days/week)
• Duration: Minimum 2 months, seeking long-term partner for future DevOps projects
• Location: Full remote accepted; occasional presence in Paris offices appreciated, especially at project start
• Start Date: ASAP
