Role Overview
Humana is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, compliant cloud infrastructure across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will support enterprise-scale engineering teams and play a critical role in ensuring the security, compliance, and reliability of healthcare technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP with focus on security and compliance
- Develop, operate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Harness, GitHub Actions, and GitOps (ArgoCD)
- Deploy and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes (AKS, GKE, OpenShift)
- Implement security best practices and integrate tools like SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, JFrog Xray, and LaunchDarkly
- Create automation scripts in PowerShell, Bash, and Python to streamline workflows
- Ensure HIPAA and SOC2 compliance across all DevOps processes
- Configure, optimize, and support build agents and runners on Linux and Windows
- Provide Level 3 and on-call support for infrastructure and platform services
- Monitor system performance and enhance developer experience through documentation and reusable templates
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 10+ years of IT infrastructure and operations experience
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience
- Proficiency with Azure and GCP cloud platforms
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Expertise in CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Harness, and GitOps (ArgoCD)
- Expert-level container orchestration with Kubernetes, AKS, GKE, and OpenShift
- Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python
- Solid Linux/Unix and Windows administration skills
- Understanding of HIPAA and SOC2 compliance standards
- Experience with security and quality tools (SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, LaunchDarkly)
- Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and observability tools
- Understanding of DORA metrics and DevOps maturity models
Nice-to-Haves
- Background in regulated environments, especially healthcare
- Experience with AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar)
- Relevant certifications (Azure, GCP, Kubernetes)
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise DevOps platforms
