About the role

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting production-grade applications. You'll work closely with development and operations teams to automate delivery pipelines, improve system reliability, and optimize performance and cost across AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and manage scalable, secure AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline)
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline deployments
  • Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Deploy monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Enforce AWS security best practices, IAM policies, and access controls
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and perform root-cause analysis
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies to drive continuous improvement
  • Develop disaster recovery strategies across AWS regions
  • Maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Hands-on experience managing AWS environments
  • Strong proficiency with core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SQS)
  • Experience with IaC tools (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, Shell, Ruby)
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and Git-based workflows
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong Linux/Unix administration background
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration skills
