Data Scientist, Data & Analytics (India, Remote)

Role Overview

The Data Scientist plays a pivotal role in WCG's Data & Analytics organization, developing analytics-driven solutions that optimize and streamline end-to-end clinical trial processes. Working closely with D&A engineering teams and clinical trial experts, you will harness cutting-edge technology to provide intelligence-based solutions that enhance decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Discover hidden insights in vast amounts of structured and unstructured data (open source, licensed, and proprietary)
• Apply data mining techniques, perform statistical analysis, and build high-quality prediction systems
• Select features, build, and optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques
• Enhance data collection procedures to ensure relevant information for analytics systems
• Process, cleanse, and verify data integrity for analysis
• Work with engineering teams to operationalize all processes
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results clearly and concisely
• Support team members in developing, analyzing, and presenting operational data for strategy and planning
• Prepare clinical trial operational predictions and forecasts with guidance from clinical experts
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners on assigned projects
• Leverage latest developments in generative AI and modern tools/libraries for clinical trial solutions

Requirements

• Proficiency in data mining, statistical analysis, and machine learning
• Experience building and optimizing classification models
• Data processing, cleansing, and verification skills
• Ability to work with both structured and unstructured data
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to synthesize multiple data sources to solve complex problems
• Experience operationalizing analytics processes
