About the role

Clinical Scientist (Neuromuscular Disorders)

Location: Dallas, TX (remote supported for the right profile)
Urgent hire — potential scope at Senior Clinical Scientist or Director depending on experience.

Role Overview

Provide scientific leadership across neuromuscular clinical development programs with hands-on involvement across trial design, execution, documentation, and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific leadership across neuromuscular clinical studies (design through execution and data interpretation)
  • Author and review key clinical documents, including:
    • Protocols
    • Investigator’s Brochures
    • Clinical Study Reports (CSRs)
    • Regulatory responses
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, including:
    • Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Biometrics, Translational
    • CROs, investigators, and clinical sites
  • Support clinical strategy activities, including protocol development and study amendments
  • Participate in medical monitoring, safety review, and data review processes
  • Act as the key scientific interface to ensure trial quality and alignment

Requirements

  • MD or PhD required
  • Proven experience as a Clinical Scientist in a small or mid-size biotech
  • Strong disease-area expertise in neuromuscular disorders, with preference for:
    • Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)
    • Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD)
    • Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)
    • Broader muscular disorders
  • Highly desirable: experience in ALS or Myasthenia Gravis
  • Hands-on clinical trial experience and collaboration with Clinical Operations and Regulatory
  • Exceptional scientific writing skills and strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving, resource-lean biotech environment
