About the role

Role Overview

A C++ Front-End Developer position fully embedded within an engineering team in a SAFe Agile environment. This is a high-volume, high-quality code production role focused on translating designs into polished front-end applications.

Responsibilities

Translate Figma designs into accurate, polished front-end pages using Philips' proprietary Sense framework (C++-based)
Write high-quality, secure, testable, and releasable C++ code at a consistent and high output pace
Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, PI reviews, and retrospectives
Conduct peer code reviews and provide clear, actionable feedback
Write clear handoff test instructions for manual QA testers upon task completion
Collaborate in real-time with engineers, Ultrasound engineers, and other R&D teams
Integrate deliverables into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Artifactory, and Octopus
Ensure all output complies with security, UX (DLS/Filament), and quality standards
Track work in JIRA

Requirements

Expert-level proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/23) — critical requirement
Demonstrated experience building front-end applications in C++
Ability to implement UI/UX from Figma specifications
Strong discipline around writing tests as part of delivery
Comfortable working embedded within a client engineering team with real-time collaboration
Excellent communication skills
Familiarity with GitHub, Artifactory, Octopus Deploy, SonarQube
EST time zone overlap required, especially during onboarding

Nice-to-Have

Experience with Sense framework or comparable proprietary C++ front-end frameworks
Audio/video applications, WebRTC, real-time connectivity, or streaming technologies
Medical device software or regulated software development environments
SAFe Agile and Program Increment (PI) planning experience
Docker, Amazon ECR, AWS services (EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, SES, SNS, SQS, etc.)
Terraform, PowerShell Scripts
Observability tools: CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDuty
Security & Compliance: GuardDuty, Security Hub, Secret Manager
