About the role
Role Overview
As a Backend Engineer at Sekoia.io, you will collaborate with product management, frontend, and infrastructure teams to build the platform at scale. You'll tackle complex technical challenges, guide team members, and deliver valuable new features to users.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product management, frontend, and infrastructure teams to build and scale the platform
- Innovate and solve complex technical challenges using industry best practices
- Guide and support team members to foster professional growth and continuous learning
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure code quality through good development practices and unit testing
- Write and maintain automated tests
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, ideally in Python
- Proficiency with modern SaaS technologies:
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Databases: PostgreSQL, Clickhouse
- Queuing: Kafka, Celery
- Caching: Redis
- Strong knowledge of FastAPI, REST, and modern development standards
- Autonomous in technological watch and up-to-date with latest standards
- Demonstrated architectural thinking
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright, etc.)
- Driven by simplicity and efficiency
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in cybersecurity
- Experience working with LLMs
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes/Docker ecosystems
