AWS Technical Architect

Overview

Remote, full-time role focused on cloud infrastructure architecture, design, and implementation support across multiple data centers and sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: Develop architecture designs and implementation support for new sites, data centers, hardware/software deployments, hardware refresh, software upgrades, decommissions, consolidations, and migrations
• Requirements & Planning: Gather and analyze requirements; finalize and sign off on project scope; conduct site assessments and feasibility studies
• Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies; perform infrastructure assessment and planning
• Implementation: Lead design, architecture development, implementation, and execution planning with ongoing support
• Validation & Documentation: Conduct post-implementation validation; create documentation and knowledge transfer materials; close out projects and hand over to support teams
• Project Management: Understand in-flight projects, scope, RAID logs, and deliverables; build business cases and project charter documents; facilitate work streams across business lines; remove roadblocks and escalate risks; ensure project success factors are achieved

Required Skills & Experience

• AWS Storage Gateway, AWS API, CloudFormation, S3 Glacier
• Cloud platform experience and knowledge
• Data center architecture and administration expertise
• SAN and storage area network architecture and administration
• Server infrastructure design, implementation, administration, and support
• Single and multi-site network deployment experience
• Server security planning, configuration, and best practice auditing
• Project management and stakeholder management capabilities
