About the role
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer to drive quality assurance activities and ensure system standards meet requirements. This is a full-time, remote position focused on creating comprehensive automation test plans and executing quality assurance across all aspects of software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Quality Assurance activities to validate system standards and user requirements
- Write, manage, and execute comprehensive test plans
- Design, write, and execute test cases and test scenarios
- Author test suites with scenarios and test cases traceable to requirements
- Leverage JIRA, SQL, and other testing tools in QA activities
- Perform mobile testing across different platforms and operating systems
- Validate data and reports using SQL and other tools
- Conduct testing at all three levels of the Agile Test Pyramid (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- Prioritize and plan quality control activities across large projects with regular reporting
- Perform risk assessment for each release and contribute to bug reporting and triage
- Identify, document, and track issues found during testing
- Coordinate with developers and project teams to triage and resolve issues
- Determine and execute appropriate testing strategies for each deliverable
- Evaluate automation system performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Address client requirements and resolve complex problems related to automation systems architecture
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in QA or related field
- Strong experience with code-based test automation (Selenium, Katalon required)
- Working knowledge of Quality testing and business process analysis in Agile/DevOps environments
- Demonstrated creativity combined with analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to collaborate with technical peers and business partners
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- May assist and guide junior staff as necessary
