ARGO Developer

Role Overview

This is a 6-month contract-to-hire, fully remote position for an experienced ARGO developer. You will collaborate with the engineering team to develop, test, and maintain web and desktop-based business applications, primarily the ARGO Teller 21 application, with integrations for various banking peripherals.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the development, implementation, assessment, and support of application components
• Independently develop clean, maintainable, testable code and perform peer code reviews
• Monitor and improve system health, performance, and availability across environments
• Package and support deployment of releases
• Provide continuous improvement ideas to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Apply information security standards when developing code
• Assess technical viability of emerging products and technologies
• Contribute to technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts
• Identify standards and best practices
• Support production issue analysis and be available for on-call rotation

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience with ability to learn ARGO
• Experience with traditional client/server architecture (ARGO Bankpro experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with SOAP and RESTful web services
• Shell scripts or Visual Basic experience
• Strong SDLC methodology knowledge (Waterfall, Agile)
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and attention to detail

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Minimum 5 years of ARGO experience, ideally with Teller platform
• Web-based Teller or Traditional ARGO Bankpro Teller experience
• Development interfaces for ARGO Teller platform with CAD devices, check imaging, electronic cash recyclers
• Alogent Front Counter experience
• Web Methods, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Azure DevOps, XML, C#, .NET
• Banking/Financial industry experience
• Self-starter with drive and initiative
