Architectural Project Associate

Role Overview

Project Associate at a commercial architecture firm focused on retail design. This is a remote position supporting project managers in all phases of architectural projects from design through construction completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate construction drawing sets (CDs) for bid, permit, and client review
• Manage drawing revisions and coordinate with consultants (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and vendors
• Conduct code research and permitting requirements analysis
• Prepare responses to design review comments from consultants and city officials
• Attend site surveys and prepare survey drawings and reports
• Create design development presentation drawings
• Support Project Manager with project coordination and administration
• Meet with city officials regarding permit-related requirements
• Conduct site visits for verification during construction phases
• Prepare punch-lists and manage construction administration tasks

Requirements

• Professional commercial architecture experience, specifically in retail design
• Professional degree in Architecture
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Basic experience with rendering software
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Reliable, detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines
• Well-organized and collaborative

Nice-to-Haves

• Revit experience (listed as a plus)
