Architectural Project Associate

Overview

Architectural Project Associate role at a remote commercial design firm specializing in retail design. This is an entry to mid-level position supporting project managers and design teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate construction documents (CDs) for bid, permit, and client review
• Manage permitting and RFI (Request for Information) processes
• Conduct site visits for upfront verification and punch-list reviews
• Coordinate with outside consultants (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and vendors
• Conduct code and permitting research
• Attend site surveys and prepare survey drawings and reports
• Prepare responses to drawing review comments
• Prepare design development presentation drawings
• Meet with city authorities on permit-related requirements
• Support Project Manager with project coordination and communication

Required Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture
• Professional commercial experience, specifically in retail design
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Basic experience with rendering software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong customer service abilities
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
• Well-organized and collaborative
• Professional client communication skills
