About the role
Role Overview
Full Stack Application Developer supporting an environmentally focused Federal Government client. You'll be part of an agile software development team responsible for developing and maintaining information systems that facilitate tracking and reporting of environmental data. The systems must be secure, compliant with accessibility standards, and support the agency's business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the Agile software development life cycle (SDLC): planning, design, development, testing, and deployment
- Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure successful delivery
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Follow software development best practices and ensure code is maintainable, scalable, and testable
- Develop and maintain technical documentation (design documents, user manuals, release notes)
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements
- Foster collaboration and continuous improvement
- Understand and apply UX and UI design principles
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years as a Full Stack Software Developer
- Strong experience with AWS (cloud services)
- Proven front-end development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks (React or Angular)
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript and Go
- Strong database experience, particularly PostgreSQL (design, optimization, management)
- Experience with event-driven architecture; RabbitMQ experience highly desirable
- Solid understanding and practical experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Strong commitment to high-quality software development

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
