About the role

Role Overview

Analytics Engineer who will serve as the bridge between Vouch's data platform and analytics team, responsible for modeling complex datasets in a scalable, auditable, and reliable manner to support a data-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and optimize robust data models in dbt to power business reporting and analytics use cases
  • Communicate with business stakeholders across GTM, Finance, and Product to understand requirements and design single-source-of-truth data assets
  • Act as liaison between Engineering and Analytics to define source and target fields for data assets
  • Partner with upstream Engineering teams to develop and adapt data models as technology and business evolve
  • Document specs and data models with source, description, and field definitions
  • Set up tests to ensure data quality, monitor daily job execution, and diagnose/fix issues to meet SLAs
  • Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues and partner with teams to resolve data problems
  • Maintain consistent data modeling standards, best practices, and design patterns
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback through code reviews and pair programming
  • Apply software development best practices with focus on version control, testing, and maintainability

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience developing ETL/ELT workflows as a data analytics engineer, data engineer, or data analyst
  • Advanced experience with SQL, dbt, Snowflake, and git
  • Intermediate experience building business reporting

  • Remote-friendly across the U.S. with core collaboration hours 8:30 am-2:30 pm Pacific Time
